Our Youth
In the United States, millions of children face unique challenges, particularly those living in single-parent households. With over 15 million children living with single mothers and over 3 million with single fathers, the mental well-being of these youth is a growing concern. More than half of surveyed parents express worry about their children's mental states, with a significant portion seeking professional help, especially amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Disturbingly, statistics indicate that children without fathers are at a significantly higher risk of incarceration, poverty, and school dropout compared to those in dual-parent homes, highlighting the urgent need for support and guidence to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
